Product Code TGABreezesmanual View or download a PDF for this product Manufacturer TGA Condition New VAT relief on products and services for disabled people VAT is a tax that you pay as a consumer when you buy goods and services in the European Union (EU), including the United Kingdom. In the UK the standard rate for VAT is 20 per cent. Disabled people don't have to pay VAT when they buy equipment that has been designed solely for disabled people, or on the adaptation of equipment so they can use it. Also, VAT is not charged on certain services provided to disabled people, including some building work to adapt a disabled person's home and the hire of disability equipment like wheelchairs. Goods and services on which you don't have to pay VAT are often referred to as 'zero-rated' or 'eligible for VAT relief'. In other words, the rate of VAT that is charged on them is zero. The rules about VAT reliefs for disabled people are complex. Not everything that is supplied to disabled people is zero-rated for VAT. Who is eligible for VAT relief VAT law states that you must be 'chronically sick or disabled' to qualify for VAT relief. https://labroclub.ru/blog/3g3rv-user-manual
A person is 'chronically sick or disabled' if they: Have a physical or mental impairment that has a long-term and severe effect on their ability to carry out everyday activities Have a condition that doctors treat as a chronic sickness (like diabetes, for example) or are terminally ill A person with a temporary injury like a broken leg would not qualify, nor would a frail older person who was otherwise well and non-disabled. A product or service must also be supplied for the 'personal or domestic use' of a chronically sick or disabled person to qualify for zero-rating. Things not covered by this include: Products and services used for business purposes Products made widely available for a group of people to use Products and services supplied to people who are staying or living in a hospital or nursing home, as part of their medical or surgical treatment or with any form of care Products that are eligible for VAT relief Some examples of products that are zero-rated for VAT are: Wheelchairs Some medical and surgical appliances - like artificial limbs, for example electrically or mechanically adjustable beds chair or stair lifts Computer software or hardware designed specifically for disabled people Gadgets and devices that are designed solely to make everyday tasks easier for disabled people, like kettle tippers vehicles that have been adapted for use by a disabled wheelchair or stretcher user Services that are eligible for VAT relief Services that are eligible for zero-rating include: The servicing, maintenance and installation of disability equipment Adaptation work on equipment or appliances so a disabled person can use them Some building alterations to a disabled person's home The hire of qualifying disability equipment Motor vehicles If you are a wheelchair or stretcher user, you should not have to pay VAT when you buy a motor vehicle that has been substantially and permanently adapted for your personal use. http://hakanacaroglu.com/images/breezair-spare-parts-manual.pdf
A wheelchair user is defined as anyone who has to use a wheelchair - powered or manual - in order to be mobile. Any adaptation work that is done on an unadapted vehicle to make it suitable for a disabled person's condition, whether or not that person is a wheelchair user, is also eligible for zero-rating. However, there is no VAT relief on the purchase of an unadapted vehicle. Read the notice 'Motor vehicles for disabled people' on the HMRC website (opens new window) Equipment How VAT reliefs work Before you pay for any product or service, check that it qualifies for zero-rating and that the supplier is registered for VAT. When you buy a zero-rated product or service, you may have to sign a form declaring that you have a chronic illness or disability and what it is. You must also declare that the product or service is for your own 'personal or domestic use'. The supplier should have copies of this form. You can then buy the product or service at a price that excludes VAT. You don't have to pay VAT and then reclaim it from the government - it will be taken off the purchase price before you pay. If you cannot find the answer to your questions there, you can call their Charities Helpline, which covers VAT reliefs for disabled people. Laura K Pearce 1.0 out of 5 stars That it the only good thing about this scooter, unless you only use it on hard smooth floors. I go to the theme parks almost every weekend here in Florida. The charge on it only holds for 4 hours. That is only about 3-4 miles. http://www.tenniscanberra.com.au/wp-content/plugins/formcraft/file-upload/server/content/files/16285f4a263b54---C200h-od219-manual.pdf
I have asked Top Mobility about this and they cannot do anything about it. I was told I am not slamming the battery in the compartment hard enough. Then they said the bumps in the road loosen the battery box and I would need to stop and reslam the battery box back down. Sorry, not going to stop every few feet and reslam the battery. Indoors on smooth hard floors, you will probably be able to get the full charge out of the scooter. Not so if you are going to use it on pavement, sidewalks or theme parks. Use caution when purchasing this scooter, and the company that you purchase through. Top mobility has only a 10 day return window, but the scooter must be in the original box and never used. How are you to know it if works if you cannot use it.I purchased it for my 80 year old mom who has limited mobility and I wanted her to be able to come out and about with me to go shopping and have some outdoor activity. It is perfect. Small enough and strong enough to go into grocery store aisles, navigate sidewalks and even get inbetween tables at restaurants. It folds and unfolds really easily with a couple of levers and the controls are very simple to use. The only downside I must mention to be fair to anyone considering this product is that it is very heavy to lift in an out of a car. It weighs between 44-70lbs according to various online product information resources depending on weight with or without battery (of course when you are using it the battery is included in the overall weight), therefore my mom, or any elderly person with limited mobility, arthritis or any degree of frailty will not be able to lift it into and out of a vehicle. My mom is never out on her own so my husband and I are able to lift it out of the car, set it up for her (takes 10 seconds to unfold) and then she can ride it about independently. The same procedure applies at the end of the outing, she cannot fold it up or lift it back into the car on her own. http://basumati.com/app/webroot/ckfinder/userfiles/files/br-1600-manual.pdf
I have this product a five star review because other than the weight issue the product itself is fantastic and she enjoys using it.I wrote the seller and no response. Not happy with them over that.We have used it to get around three malls and Fort Bend County fairgrounds. Fits ito the back of my Honda Fit hatchback easily when folded with the rear seats of the Fit up!The whole family was going to Disney for a week and I was able to go. It's lightweight and easy to pick up and put in the trunk. I was able to get thru the smallest places and turning was a breeze. It folds down easy, isn't that heavy, so we can fold it down and put in my car. My husbands loves it cause we can go everywhere with it. We traveled to N.C. and got so many compliments on it, as well as Las Vegas. It truly is very helpful to us.I think it is made for shorter people. Folding and unfolding is very easy and makes it managable to put into the back of my SUVWe recommend that you do not solely rely on the information presented and that you always read labels, warnings, and directions before using or consuming a product. To start viewing messages,If anyone can help out in any way it would be greatly appreciated.I mainly need it to check voltage values out of the control module (S-Drive). My old man cooked the brushes in the motor and one of the commutator segments rose up higher than the others on the armature. The brushes were fine but the brush springs have heated to a temperature that caused them to lose their tension (they were purple: ) ). I machined the commutator, fitted some new springs that I robbed from an old starter motor and re-assembled the motor. I suspect that the brake on the electric motor came on when it wasn't supposed to and I found a faulty electrical connection that proved that theory. I also fixed the potentiometer for the speed control as it used to surge up and down when driving at a fixed speed setting. So I think it comes down to a slightly damaged armature, damaged brushes from overcurrent-overheating or not enough output current-voltage from the control module for whatever reason. If I had another scooter of the same type I could just take comparison readings but I don't have that luxury unfortunately.I also checked out the resistance of the windings and brushes but I need a growler to check the armature properly (I'm a qualified mechanic as well as a Cert 3 Electrician). The workshop manual will give the voltage and current values supplied from the control unit at full speed, and with this info I can tell without pulling anything apart, where the problem lies. My dad needs his scooter to get around on, so downtime is out of the question.Distributors (worldwide) are listed at.So I sent an email to that address above but have not heard anything back yet. I reckon they'll give me the number and address of their nearest dealer which I don't really need because they are burglars. Its worth a look it may just be the right one. I used it to diagnose a similar problem a while back. Its worth a look it may just be the right one. I used it to diagnose a similar problem a while back. The Breeze-S has a different motor to the earlier one. I'm not sure if the current at full herbs is the same or not.The controller has to release the motor brake and apply it at the correct times. It also controls the rate at which it supplies current and voltage to the motor. The potentiometer and controller seem to be working OK from all tests i've performed since. I didn't have my clamp meter on me at the time so I couldn't check the current with no load and under full load. If the weather holds up over the weekend i'll get another go at it. I got a response from the distributor and he's asking for the serial number, so maybe he'll give it to me?Thanks a lot.You would be wise to edit your post and delete your e-mail address as it is likely to attract spam mail.
