I am about to change out the cable and string just because of age and wanted to know if when you tune your bow what is the proper sequential order. Cam orientation?? ATA??? BH??? Idler wheel deflection????? Also, when you measure ATA is it center to center of pins or inside to inside or outside to outside. Have started doing this and these are some of the things I am coming across. Some strings are pre-stretched and does the materialmake a difference?? I use the bowfor hunting and 3-D. Appreciate any inputs. Sparky. The cam should be marked either side of the limb if not then mark it before you start that should get it back into proper rotation. I believe the mods can still be purchased for increasing draw length. I bought the bow brand new in October 2007 and have been the only owner. It has very little wear and tear because if it wasn't hanging from my Realtree bow arm it was either in my hand or in my case. The bow has a new string that was put on less than a year ago and shoots very smooth. It has a very solid back wall thanks to Bowtech's adjustable draw stop. I have also added a Rage Cage aluminum quiver loaded with 4 Carbon Express Terminator 4560 arrows. I will also include a Plano bow case. This bow has everything you need to get started bow hunting or to help bring your Bowhunting career to the next level. It is a sweet shooter and is surprisingly forgiving for a short ATA bow. It is very smooth drawing and feels solid at full draw with a firm back wall. I really love this bow and it would be a great hunting bow for anyone looking for a steal. It has done the job for me numerous times and I know it still has a lot more to give. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. In operation since 1999, BowTech is more than keeping up with the Joneses with its line up of new bows and accessory packages for 2002. Here's a sneak peak at what you'll find in noted pro shops in plenty of time for deer season 2002! VFT is the most recent in a long line of technological innovations by the most forward-thinking bow company in the world and it raises the bar for bow design going into the 21st century. Upon release, this enhanced horizontal limb construction disperses energy vertically, in equal and opposite directions, with very little limb tip movement. Energy is transferred parallel to, and away from, the riser, thus resulting in near zero recoil and hand shock. The ultimate result is the Patriot delivers amazing smoothness and tops it off with reeling speed and accuracy. The consequence is hand shock,” says Kevin Strother, the VP of Research and Development for BowTech. “I experimented for more than seven months with over 100 different preloads, and I changed the limb angle six different times before I got the desired combination.” Because it is such a dramatic improvement in comfort and energy efficiency, BowTech is already making plans to include it on their bows of the future. This effectively removes all recoil and hand shock from the riser. Combined with its longer brace height, the Patriot serves up greater accuracy while maintaining high arrow speed. While other bows with this much energy feel like a joy buzzer in your hand, the Patriot is the smoothest BowTech available. But instead of simply downsizing an adult bow, every aspect of the Rascal is created for the younger market. We want it to help stimulate and maintain interest in the sport.” The retrofit package includes new limbs, new draw module, and new strings and cables.Colored bows come standard with black metal flake limbs, polished cams, and contrasting colored riser and limb pockets. BANGDIENTUNHK.COM/upload/files/a-sanskrit-manual-for-high-schools-part-ii.pdf
The camo version comes with a black anodized riser, cams and pockets, with Advantage Timber limbs. The result is a bow that your child will actually enjoy shooting. And because our children grow up so fast, the Rascal can be refitted to grow with them. The Rascal is a great bow for more petite women, too. Each bow comes with its own set of accessories that includes a BowTech 8-arrow quiver; a fiber optic 3-pin sight; a bow sling; an arrow rest; string and cable silencers; peep sight; and the patent-pending VibraBlock anti- vibration system. Each of these high-end accessories will also be available for purchase as a separate accessory set that includes a silent mechanical release, through BowTech dealers. Both feature a brace height of 9.125,” and draw lengths of 26”-31” and 27”-32,” respectively. The VibraBlock reduces overall noise and vibration without reducing arrow speed. Its simple installation is the key to its effectiveness. The VibraBlock slides on and completely encompasses the limb of the bow. This results in the reduction of vibration from all sides of the limbs, not just one. Plus, it can attach to any bow with any limb, straight, split, or tapered. Two VibraBlock sets, which reduce vibration by another 25, only reduce arrow speed by one foot per second. BowTech continues to be the fastest growing bow company in history. Each is a BowTech original. You should upgrade or use an alternative browser. I have been eyeing the bowtech VFT. Bow is super fast and surprisingly doesn't have a lot of hand shock. I'm a bit concerned about the short brace height. Anyone shoot this bow, a patriot or other similar bowtechs and can comment on it?That's probably a very sweet shooter and great all around hunting bow. Not a super speed bow like some of those other VFT's, but still way more than plenty fast. The Pro 40, Pro 40 Dually and Pro 40 Wheely also look like very stable hunting bows. Again, at least for my tastes and size. Just remember what you give up to get that extra speed out of your bow. (Needed speed?) Speed usually comes at the expense of forgiveness and accuaracy. More speed does not mean better. In fact, for many who don't shoot a lot, a very small brace height can mean just the opposite. That being an arrow not going where it was intended to go at a critical time. My new Hoyt is rated at 296 fps. That's considered slow by todays standards, but trust me, for normal Michigan tree stand hunting out to 35 yards, it's speed is no issue. And it's accuracy more than makes up for a small loss in speed. Just consider that when you do make the investment, because a lot of these new bows ain't cheap. What's your draw length. Here's the spec's. I have hunting bow that I really like. I am looking for something to shoot 3d with. I am just fascinated by this 330 fps. I like the pro 40 too.I was just mentioning some of that because I don't think everyone realizes that there are pro's and con's to bow specs. Also, after re-looking at the specs, the Justice VFT, Liberty VFT and especially Patriot VFT Dually would be worth a look. IMHOIn fact there was a dealer in Big Rapids that told me about Mathews black max bow a few years back and he said don't ever buy it. At the time it was the fastest bow out there but that was what it was made for, to be the fastest and that only just some bragging rights but this guy told me you won't hit a paper plate at 20 yards with the thing. That being said I know someone who has a new bowtech and absolutely loves it! AWI have a Patriot Dually and absolutley love it. That VFT will make you smile As for a longer ATA and somewhat slower ATA bow being a better option for Our typical treestand hunting in the thick of Michigan woodlot.there's 2 ways to look at that. But for 35 or so I'll take the extra speed that will give me an bit of an advatage if I misjudge yardage and the ease of shooting from tighter quarters.provided it's not too critical of form. and IMO the Bowtechs aren't at all.Is that the shortest brace made. For what it's worth, I've been reading Trushots posts for a while. Take his advice over mine. I was just giving general guidelines on bows. But, IMHO, Trushot has a better handle on much of the real tech stuff than I do.I've shot about all of them from the 03 lineup and that one even scares me.At least I'm asssuming it's the same Trushot.More than a little difference there and it took a little getting used to. Where I'm at now is somehwere in the middle I guess. The biggest advancement that I see in with the shorter bows is the parallel limb design. This allows a longer riser with the shorter, swept back limbs. The longer riser gives a much more stable platform than you'd guess even though the ata shrinks consederably. Pair that with the idea that the limbs are essentially negating the effect of each other on the shot and you reduce recoil and all effects of the shot dramatically.Try drawing some of those screamers back when it is freezing cold and you have sitting for hour I have been looking at the Bowtechs along with the AR bows for quite awhile. Trushot will laugh about that one How is the draw curve on that Patriot Dually?? Dan As far as the Pat Dually.Well.I wouldn't call it smooth as silk. It is smooth but it loads up very quickly and remains till almost the end. Valley is tight and let off is 65 (no option). It's not for everyone one but I shoot very well with it (for me) and it's my favorite bow to shoot right now. As for pulling it back in the feezing cold. Man I love technology! Now I need to find one to shoot I have a friend who hangs out here, and he will crack up if I bought a Bowtech. He has been pushing for those all along! Dan I am relatively new to 3d and lets just say my form is a work in progress The bow shot well, but there are not many shops that encourage you to shoot several groups of arrows at various yardages to see how well you shoot the bow. Thats sort of my dilema. I am concerned about the Brace height. Trushot, is it your opinion that this bow would not be very forgiving with someone with moderate shooting form?It was a marriage of my passions for the outdoors and the internet.
