Thanks. I lifted the bottom up to take out the cd, and now i can't insert a cd into the player. Have you had any success yet? After removing the five screws, flip the device right side up, then simply lift the cover off. It's a tight fit and there's not much clearance, but if you lift the cover straight up, you'll be fine. It goes without saying that you have to unplug the power cord from the back of the device. With the cover off, it's easy to follow how the CD is going into the machine and being ejected. In my case, there was just enough friction during the loading process to prevent the device from pulling the CD into the caddy completely, but I found that if I tapped the CD as it went in, this overcame the friction. I left in the screw nearest the back to safeguard alignment. Grabbed the one of the two cd's I had forced in. When I turned on the unit again it smoothly ejected the properly loaded disc. Plays perfectly now. Thanks so much for your help; like an early Christmas present! There ended up being a homemade cd stuck inside, and the cd label how some came lose, causing a paper jam with the cd being stuck. All is well! Thanks a million. Plays great again. I tried the shaking and holding upside down thing.that has worked before, but this time it didn't. I've found that the non-professional cd's with paper labels will many times cause this problem. http://www.insource-inc.com/stock/userfiles/bose-321-ii-manual.xml

Will try to stay away from those! Many thanks. Followed your instructions and it is working PERFECTLY again. Thank you! No unscrewing needed! Thank you. It would not budge even when using small pliers. Thought What now? So I plugged the power cord in. CD tray came to life, and I was able to remove the disc. Reassembled the Bose, and tried another CD(original ruined). Played, and ejected faultlessly. I have been using it for a few yrs. now. I was in a panic that it was broken !! My daughter would not be a happy camper !! I followed your instructions and so far so good. Thanks so much !! The unplug trick worked. Thanks! I am guessing you need this information. Bob I tried all the tricks to no avail. Unscrewed, had to move two metal things to get the disc out. Wouldn't play, cd error message then a no cd message. I have the extra cd thing that plays 3 cd's, so am OK with it.To find exact instructions on my first search is a wonder to behold. LinShall Thanks for saving the musical part of this Christmas season of 2014. Have had it only since May of 2014. mrkeeze I noticed the very edge of the CD at the opening of the slot.Worth a try before attempting other methods. Somehow I had managed to put two CDs in the slot. I did not realize that there were two inside till I followed your instructions and removed them. It took all of five minutes to get up and playing again. Previously, I was just able to unscrew the bottom and grab the cd and it popped out (that is when I found the dime). I reinserted a cd and the cd was stuck again.I could see the cd but I as luck would have it -- the cd seemed permanently embedded in the machine after multiple tries at pushing, pulling the cd from the encasement. As I unscrewed the second screw -- it appears that the mechanism allowed the cd to exit -- without effort. After the cd was released I did screw the screws back into where they belonged.Plays my cds faultlessly again ( my Bose is over 12 years old!). http://www.floramira.rs/images/pages/bose-321-gsx-iii-manual.xml
BUT - why do the cds that come in simple cardboard envelopes e.g. from Germany, or South Africa (I'm in the US) usually not play when inserted and - in this last instance - then get stuck. Are they thinner than normal. I thought cd production standards were the same worldwide. ???? Here's what did work: I put the cover back on, picked up the player and shook the daylights out of it. Removed the cover again, found the caddy had opened and the CD accessible. Now: will the same problem happen again. If so, I'll either junk the thing or buy a cheap CD player and just plug it in to the Bose for use of its speakers. Sending it to Bose for repair is useless. They no longer service this device model. The CD Repair FAQ.But let me write about maintenance here. I find that many of today's product owners use their devices for years without ever getting them cleaned or maintained. After years there is a chance that oil and lubes can harden and there goes the device. To make matters worse the makers don't get enough units into repair to make it worth keeping the repair system running. So when it gets about 5 years old, you can't get it fixed by the maker. Is there no manual eject on the body of the unit. Do I have to send it in to have the CD removed. I tried the reset. It did not work at all. There is one other you can try before calling for service. Unplug the system from power, and flip the unit over so you can read the serial number. Then flip the system back to normal position and plug it back in. http://www.drupalitalia.org/node/71022

Ask an Expert Electronics Question Home Theater Problems This answer was rated: ? ? ? ? ? We have a Bose Wave Music System. Hello, We have a Bose Wave Music System. I'm sorry you're having problems. This problem the Bose is very common, and either caused by a processor glitch, or a hardware failure within the Bose. Disconnect the Bose from power, then press and hold the Eject button for 10 seconds and release (this drains residual current from the main unit). Wait a minute, then, press and hold the Eject button- while plugging the system back into power. Continue to hold Eject for 15 seconds, or until you hear the Eject motor engage. Once that is done the system is reset, so if the issue is simply a processor glitch- this will correct it. Try that procedure up to three times if the first do not work. Beyond that the official Bose reset for the system is to leave it disconnected from power for 60 full minutes (or longer) and then plug it back in and try to eject the disc again. However, if this does not work, then the player is in need of service- more specifically the Eject mechanism in the 3 disc changer has malfunctioned. The Wave radio has one CD and the multi-cd changer holds 3 CD's. Music plays all day, changing from one CD to another. Can change CD's by using remote control 'eject' button (have the larger remote that lights up, love it for clarity of seeing and using all options). One negative - when changing from one CD to another, you hear a light clattering noise; you would think Bose would come up with a quiet changer, but not yet. I asked if there were wireless speakers available so I could hear the music throughout the home, but was told there are no wireless speakers that would connect to this system. I like the Bose system very much - wish there were wireless speakers to pull the music throughout the entire home.BOSE told me to disconnect from power source and reconnect. It finally died completely and guess what square trade said it wasn't covered under the three year warranty. Keep your money. Don't get the warranty.I bought the 3-disc add on and wow, it sounds cheap and awful when the discs change. For that reason, I've primarily used the main player. It's no longer under warranty and no way am I paying to get this disappointing piece of equipment fixed. Hard lesson learned because this wasn't a cheap system when I bought it.It weighs twice what my others Bose radios' did !? I thought that was a good thing, however, and I like the grey color more than the solid white or black. There is a 30 second update required before connecting the CD stacker, but other wise, no need for instructions. www.kappapma.com/userfiles/files/canon-pixma-ip5000-printer-manual.pdf
The two plugs in the back were just short connect wires that were easy to plug in. Then the power cord and a CD. While I miss the control panel on the top, I will admit that the remote control is sufficient. I bought one of the larger remotes, because I keep misplacing the credit card sized remote and because there is no control panel on the unit. NOTE: I have been buying BOSE audio devices for decades and I love the, however, I can't help but notice that the CD changers on every one of them (including the player in my car) have all quit within a couple of years. Be prepared to send it back to Bose if that happens. Part of the high price is the product warrantee and they are one of those companies that is easy to work with. Don't forget to Register your's !My Mother enjoys listening to music but has difficulty working the complicated network controls so I bought this unit for her because it seemed simple to operate and the reviews for sound quality were good. After using it today for the first time, I wished that gotten a couple of these units for myself and saved all that money putting in a home audio system. This unit has better sound quality because the music is from the CD instead of the MP3 player, and it was very easy to install and operate. Bose did provide software to update the Multi-CD changer (see another reviewer's comments regarding the older Multi-CD changer). The instructions were so clear that we had it up and running in less than 5 minutes. It's also compact enough that it could be moved easily from room to room if desired. This was a very good purchase. It's easy to install and the sound is great. Got the CD changer and the better (bigger and lights up) remote and the FM antenna. Except for one time he has found it easy to use and loves the sound. The bigger one is better.Regardless of the price. I had the system for over 10 years and was so very disappointed. I took a chance and ordered this newer system and I am thrilled with it, it givs me much plasure each and every dayThe CD part stopped working but Bose no longer makes these. I have lots of CDs and wanted a way to play them. When I realized I could get a reconditioned system, I was thrilled. It just arrived and works wonderfully. The sound is so nice. It arrived very quickly. Please try again This unit looked brand new and already arrived with the software update installed so I didn't have to hassle with that. It literally was plug and play. So intuitive that I didn't need the manual (included with package) and I'm far from tech savvy. And the sound? SO rich for such a small unit. It's in a large room with 12 ft ceiling and just fills the room with sound. I've included a photo to give you an idea of how small this is, very unobtrusive on a shelf. Please try again Upsides: Radio works great, CD player works great. Great sound. Downsides: only 4 CDs between the changer and the radio unit. Wish it held more. Also switching between CDs is a little cumbersome. I also wish the unit had controls on it. While I was testing it I turned the sound up to check to see that there were no buzzes. I was multitasking and right after I did that had to turn to do something else. When I went to turn down the sound, I couldn't find the remote. I searched for 15 minutes with sound blaring out at me before finally discovering that the remote had fallen off the counter and into a shoe!Sorry, we failed to record your vote. However, I got it for the ease of use, the sound quality and I now use my cds that have been sitting on a shelf for years. Hooked my TV to the Bose so the sound comes thru Bose. It sounded better than the TV speakers but it also took me a while to get used to the heavy bass sounds.
